The dining hall plays an important role in the Luis Vives School Educational Project. It is a service integrated within the Center and not outsourced, as we want to have complete control over the menus and product quality. Purchases are made daily, and we prioritize quality and locally sourced products.
We believe in healthy, balanced, and homemade food. The menus are analyzed by external staff with nutritionist qualifications to verify that our students are receiving proper nutrition. In addition to proper nutrition, we want our students to incorporate a series of habits, attitudes, and rules that everyone should have when sitting down to eat. To achieve this, we rely on the work of teachers and kitchen staff who help to gradually incorporate these habits and good manners. This task will only be effective if these same rules continue to be applied at home.
We currently have three gyms and two outdoor swimming pools at the school for our nursery, preschool (ages 3-6), and early elementary school students. From third grade through twelfth grade, our sports facilities are located outside the school.
We currently offer physical education classes at the Campus Sport Uib facilities, located in the middle of the University of the Balearic Islands, which cover an area of 30,000 square meters. These facilities include: a basketball court, an outdoor artificial turf soccer field, a heated indoor swimming pool, a gym, and paddle tennis and tennis courts.
The childcare service is voluntary and allows parents to drop off their children early or pick them up after classes have ended.
